- Lee Oskar’s talent came to prominence in 1969 as the Harmonica Player in Chicago based Funk-Rock band ‘War’ which also included Eric Burdon.

Harmonicas go beyond the grave
- Harmonica Legend Junior Wells was a Chicago-based blues harp player and singer. Well known for his collaborations with Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy. He has been described as a harp-carrying gangster, presenting a tough-guy to his fans. Here’s his big hit ‘Messing’ With The Kid’. It’s in’C’ so you’ll need an ‘F’ harp. The intro goes straight down The Blues Scale. Listen to his tone and how he splits notes with his tongue. A great track,,,
- In 1998 64 year old Junior was buried with a tray of Lee Oskar harmonicas to continue his journey upstairs.
A fine recommendation if ever there was one.
